Adult Programs

Women’s Self Defense Class
Saturday, October 9th

Learn how to defend yourself when someone is trying to attack you. With the guidance of NRC Tae Kwon Do instructor Dany Monares, you will gain self confidence and learn effective techniques to defend yourself against an attacker.
Time: 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Fee: $15/$19 per class
Ages: 12 and older
Location: NRC Santa Fe Room
Minimum Enrollment: 5 Maximum Enrollment: 25

Scrapbooking Crops
Session I: September 9th & 10th
Session II: October 7th & 8th
Session III: November 4th & 5th

These sessions are when you can get your scrapbooking work done! Bring any projects and photos you want to work on. Cutters and other tools will be available for your use. You will find plenty of help to get you going and sticking to your projects. You will receive a $5 gift certificate for product when you arrive.
Time: Thurdays: 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM, Friday: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Couples Salsa, Merengue & Bachata
Fridays, October 1st - 29th

Join David & Maria Coto in this new class. You’re sure to get a workout learning the basic steps and turns for Salsa, Merengue, and Pachata.

The Healthy Plate
Thursdays, September 9th - September 30th

Join Lydia Gates in this class and learn how to create a healthful plate. Participants will learn what Carbohydrates are and why we should know about them. This is a great hands-on class for diabetics and anyone who has an interest in making healthier choices. Participants will cover food presentation, cook a meal each class, and take home new recipes.
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Fee: $49/$61
Ages: 16 and older

Beginners Knitting
Session I: Thursdays, October 14th & 21st
Session II: Thursdays, November 9th & 16th

Ever wanted to learn to knit? This is the class for you. We will be learning how to read a pattern, the basic knit and purl stitches, and how to cast on.
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Fee: $25/$31
Ages: 10 and older

Line Dancing (Linercise)
Thursdays, August 12th - September 30th

Join the NRC and Knox Rhine, for this fiesta for your feet! Knox has been dancing for many years both recreationally and competitively. He has been an instructor and choreographer almost as long as he's been dancing and he has been a judge at several national competitions. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from the best!

Grab a partner and join Knox Rhine in this class. Couples will learn basic steps for West Coast Swing and Double Two Step.
