American Safety and Health Institute certifications offered. Minimum Enrollment: 6 Maximum Enrollment: 15 Note: Participants must have a valid CPR certificate. Pet First Aid This program provides information on caring for dogs and cats as well as
guidance about when pets should be taken to the veterinarian for professional
care. This is an American Safety and Health Institute approved program. Note: Do not bring any pets to the class. Summer Swim Roundup Need to know what lessons you are ready for? Come in for a free swim
evaluation. Take a few minutes before signing up for summer lessons and let us
advise you on what class would be beneficial. Water Babies Session II: Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 3rd- 19th Session III: Monday & Wednesday, August 18th- September 8th Introduce your infant to the water and encourage exploration into the basic
concepts of swimming and water enjoyment. This program promotes water safety
knowledge and practices, aquatic adjustment and swimming readiness skills.
Emphasis in this session will be put on development of warm and trusting
relationships between parents and children and the instructor. Minimum Enrollment: 4, Maximum Enrollment: 10 Note: Be sure to sign up quick, enrollment fills up fast. Class will not meet September 1st. Swim Lesson Instructor/Aide Course This course provides training for those who wish to assist or teach swimming
lessons. Swim Instructor/Aides receive training from NRC Aquatics in swim
instruction methods and theories. Water safety skills and first aid instruction
is included. Note: This class does not guarantee employment. Junior Lifeguarding The Junior Lifeguard Program is a fun and challenging program. Students must
be able to pass the skill test for the Seal level swimming lessons. After
successfully finishing the Jr. Lifeguard program the student may be eligible to
apply to become a volunteer at on the Newton Pools. Friday, June 20th Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PMFee: FREE! If interested please contact Bart Peace. Lifeguard Training Monday, June 23rd - Wednesday, June 25th STAR Guard Lifeguard Training includes Lifeguard, CPR for the professional
rescuer, First Aid and Blood borne Pathogens Certifications. Current Red Cross
or Ellis Guards can crossover or renew as a STAR Guard. ASHI certifications
issued upon successful completion. Minimum Enrollment: 6, Maximum Enrollment: 12 Note: A schedule will be available at the time of registration. Scout Night Boys and girls of all ages involved in scouting can swim for $.75 by showing
proof of membership. All leaders can swim for free. Youth Triathlon Saturday, June 28th Fun-Run followed by biking then swimming. Splish, Splash Back to School Bash Join us for an evening of swimming, music, friends, games, a movie and snacks
as we say goodbye summer…hello school! All students attending must follow the
USD 373 dress code and NRC rules. CPR Training This
comprehensive course trains individuals to act in an emergency and to recognize
and care for respiratory or cardiac emergencies. American Safety and Health
Institute Certifications will be issued upon successful completion of this
course. First Aid Training This
comprehensive course trains individuals to act in an emergency and to recognize
and care for basic and life threatening emergencies such as sudden illness and
injury. American Safety and Health Institute Certifications will be issued upon
successful completion of this course. Private Swim Lessons It is never too late or too early to learn this necessary survival skill.
Private lessons will be set up to fit individual needs and schedules. Please
call (316) 283-7330 for more information on setting up your private lessons. Pooches’ Plunge Dogs are invited to swim on the last day water will be in the pool. Prizes
and treats will be given out to the dogs. All dogs must pass a temperament test
and have all required city tags. CPR Home Study A home learning system for CPR for the adult, child and infant, is a must for
the entire family. Take the video and mannequins home for one week to learn and
practice CPR. Include the entire family in learning lifesaving techniques.
Certifications may be earned by scheduling a test of CPR skills. Old School Lifeguarding Wednesday, July 23rd - Friday, July 25th This course offers Lifeguard training for adults. If you let your
certifications slide and would like to renew, or would just like to learn a new
skill, this is the course for you. All certifications offered for other
lifeguard training courses apply. The longest distance required to swim is 200
yards. Minimum Enrollment: 6 Maximum Enrollment: 12
