Winter/Spring Activity Guide On-Line Become a fan on our Facebook	Holiday Classes 2011 Create Your Own Calendar Tuesday, December 6th - 20th Have your child create a calendar with arts and crafts. These calendars can be used from year to year! Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Fee: $21/$26 Ages: 2 - 5 years Instructor: Candice Egizi-Sifuentez Location: NRC Sunflower Room Registration Deadline: Friday, December 3rd Minimum Enrollment: 4 Calls From Santa It’s that time of year! Santa himself will be making calls to the Newton area again. The elves have scheduled the week of December 12th for the calls to be made. Parents, beginning December 1st, stop by NRC and fill out a short questionnaire or go to our web-site, www.newtonrec.org to fill it out. Time: Calls will be made from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Fee: FREE Ages: 4 and older Note: The actual day calls will be made will be determined by December 1st. Swim With Santa Saturday, December 17th Mom and Dad, here’s your chance to get more Christmas shopping done! Drop off the kids at the NRC Activity Center to spend a few hours with Santa. The kids will be able to tell Santa what they want for Christmas, get their picture taken with him, and then have lunch. After lunch we will head outside for a Candy Cane Hunt before jumping into the pool for some wet and wild fun. Before the kids head for home they will enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies. Santa will have lots of helpers around to join in the fun! Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Fee: $13/$16 Ages: Children MUST be potty trained or accompanied by an adult. Gingerbread Houses Saturday, December 21st Join NRC staff in celebrating the fun and tasty side of the holiday season. We will dance to music and get messy making and decorating gingerbread houses. Time: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Fee: $11/$14 Ages: 5-12 Location: NRC Cottonwood Room Registration Deadline: Wednesday, December 19th Minimum Enrollment: 5 Note: Parents are encouraged to stay and help their child. Participants may leave when their house is finished. Holiday Goodies Monday, December 19th Start the holidays off right with this festive cooking session. Santas, snowmen, and reindeer come alive in this class! Pizza and drinks will be provided. Daddy Daughter Date Night Friday, February 10th Attention Dads! Come spend the evening with your favorite sweetie! There will be father-daughter bonding events throughout the evening as well as a candle-light dinner. Don’t miss the chance to show your little girl(s) how special they really are.
