Pedal Pushers
1st Annual Harvey County Bicycle Ride
Saturday, May 3rd

JFK once said, "Nothing compares with the simple pleasure of a bike ride." Join NRC on this new adventure! Whether you want to challenge yourself or enjoy a short ride with your family, this is the event for you! All participants will receive a T-Shirt to wear on the day of the event.
Time: Registration begins at 7:15 AM, Bike ride is at 8:00 AM
Fee: $12
Ages: Any person who can safely ride a bike. Children 12 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Location: Newton High School Parking Lot
Registration Deadline: Friday, April 4th
Note: Helmets are required.

Concerts for Kids
Fridays, April 18th - May 23rd

Laura Lee has successfully entertained young audiences since 1990. She will perform songs, many featuring group participation and sign language interpretation. Participants can attend just one session or all sessions. The more you attend the more fun you will have! Adults are required to attend with their children.
Time: 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
Fee: $5 per session per child OR $20 for entire series
Ages: ANY
Location: NRC Sunflower Room
Minimum Attendance: 5 People
Note: No concert on May 15th.

Touch A Truck
Saturday, May 17th

Have you every seen a big City Truck, Fire truck, or Police Car and wondered what it’d be like to sit behind the wheel? Join us today and touch a truck!
Time: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Ages: Open to All Ages

Splish, Splash Back to School Bash
Friday, August 15th

Join us for an evening of swimming, music, friends, games and snacks as we say goodbye summer…hello school! All students attending must follow the USD 373 dress code and NRC rules.
Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Fee: $5
Ages: 6th, 7th and 8th grades only
Location: Municipal Pool
Note: Bring a floaty to relax on.

Community Wide Garage Sale
Saturday, July 12th

Join us again for our Community Wide Garage Sale. If you are looking to get rid of some old stuff, rent a booth at our sale and leave all of the advertising up to us! Plus the weather is guaranteed to be great inside of our air conditioned gymnasium.
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 pm
Fee: $10 per booth
Location: NRC Gymnasium
Entrance: FREE!
