The Newton Recreation Commission operates two pools.
The Center Pool is located in the Newton Activity Center and has a capacity of
35 swimmers. Pool depth ranges from a shallow 2 feet to 6 feet at it’s deepest.
An overhead sprinkler provides a shower of fun for the kids. A handicap lift is
located on the deck and for your convenience, locker rooms are located just a
few steps away. The pool is a perfect tie in with a meeting room to host your
child’s birthday party.
The Municipal Pool is located in Athletic Park and has a capacity of 700
swimmers. Diving boards and a large slide guarantees fun. The toddler pool, with
it’s mushroom waterfall and frog slide, is also available to rent. The toddler
pool has a capacity of 20 children and it is required that each child under the
age of 2 years is accompanied by an adult. Showers are located in the locker
rooms and the concession stand can also be opened to add to your enjoyment.
